Wendy and Marie started Project Mouse Maze just for fun because they like doing crazy things like running around at people's houses at night and putting up random dragon posters. It started with an idea while they were lying on the couch under a blue blanket. They had just finished watching Despicable Me and were having one of those conversations where one comes up with brilliant ideas, like a non-spiritual yoga club. The idea of a mouse maze came up and a plan began to form.
Within an unknown number of days the two girls went to Lowe's and bought a bunch of random wood. When they went to get it sawed, one of the sawer dudes had a hat which had "The South Butt" written on the back with a North Face logo upside down. Once the wood was done they shoved it into the car and drove away. Just kidding. They payed first.
Thus began the building of the mouse maze. Wendy drew the plan, and lost the plan, and drew it again. Marie sawed a lot of wood with the help of Tigger and Piglet. Then came lots and lots of drilling as we assembled the frame of the maze. Theodore Demetrius was a big help with that. We took a bunch of pictures and had some mints. They were pretty good. They drew the design of the maze on the wood base. Then came the gluing. Lots of gluing. And being crazy in general. That happens a lot when Wendy and Marie get together. It was fun to drill and play with the camera. We had many great moments, and many great dreams of how our mouse maze would look. Slowly but surely, it began to form.
